Glenn G. Healas was the son-in-law of Calvin Townsend. Townsend came to Alaska in 1904 and worked for the government beginning in 1913. He was a game warden and then was transfered to the Bureau of Fisheries. His district included the entire Yukon and Kuskokwim.
